The Nature Boy On August eighth, 1999, Darla Cynkar had no idea that her early baby boy she had caried for in her body for seven months would be faced with a condition that would affect him for the rest of his life. Born with a disorder of the cerebellum in the left hemisphere of the brain, Zachary James Cynkar would never have complete coordination on the left side of his body, hindering his ability to play team sports and horse around the same ways as other boys eventually would. Luckily, the creative side of his brain prevailed and Zach began a wonderful life in Level-Green Pennsylvania. Growing up, he grew extremely close to his father and nature simultaneously. This was no accident, as his father had earned a degree in ecology and was careful to spend time teaching Zach about nature and everything in it. Zach’s love for the outdoors bloomed and without hesitation, he entered into the Boy Scouts of America, an organization that would mold his character from then on.
