“I’m sure you don’t mind if we record this session”, he said.

“No, not at all”, I replied.

Why? Why did he ask? I have already signed the document for this session to be recorded. Why must he ask again?

Stupid mundanes...

Stay calm, just stay calm. All we have to do is answer a few questions and be on our way.

Trust me, we will be better off by the time this is all over.

I don’t care about that! If this isn’t over by the time-

What does it matter? When’s the last time I have actually talked to someone?

“Can we begin?”

“Yes, of course”, I said. It shouldn’t have to take that much

effort to sound polite...

“Um...my name is Loren Graves, I’m 22, and I’ve come because...I need help”.

How was I supposed to explain it to these people?

“Help with what, Loren? You must give us full details

or else we can’t move on with the investigation”.

“It’s a...harassment of sorts”, I muster.

“Why don’t you start by telling us your story?”

“Well, Detective, I don’t think you’ll find it very

interesting”, I said, chuckling inside my head. Something about that is amusing.
