My story is a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi tale. Global warming shrouds Earth causing the polar ice caps to melt and raise the water level around the world. This results in massive flooding world-wide, killing people, and devastating communities. The high temperatures also force the deaths of many people who are not used to the sudden change. My story focuses on those who did survive, members of Isle Salvation, or what was an Arizona-New Mexico area. They may have survived the initial onslaught, but a new wave comes through. They discover a new creature, an Egro, which the government keeps fairly secret for their own unknown reasons. But the government is not careful, and the Egro reproduces massively and grows to a large size making it the new top predator on the island. Egro attacks lower the islands population even further, to the point that only a small army remains. Told from the first-person point-of-view of one of the soldiers, Roy Sav, my story details the humans attempt at survival with all the odds against them. Battling through struggles, Roy Sav must lead the remaining humans to live at all costs, before the weather and the Egros wipe humans off the face of the planet.
Soul Bonded
Being a vampire is never easy, especially when you try to live a normal life with friends. Thats what happens with seventeen year old Jasmine Hayes. As newly turned vampire,after a deadly disease takes her, she struggles to appear human to her best friends and cruel father. Everything seems alright until one night at a local club the friends go to and she finds her soul mate hanging around town looking for her. Her soul mate seems to be hiding something from her, something that could end up killing them both. With her two best friends and soul mate, Jasmine has to learn to hide her vampire powers while something evil begins to creep around her town, making hiding being a vampire hard and living a normal life. But everyone seems to be hiding their own secretes within them self. Secretes that can end up harming them all.
