Friends Today, Gone Tomorrow

Piper Knack and Ariel Foster have had a wonderful friendship starting at the age of five. By the time they had reached the ending of middle school their friendship had been going down -hill. Piper would not return Ariel’s calls. About the third week of that summer vacation Piper traveled to Hawaii. A severe incident happened to Piper which caused an early trip home. When the family returned home Piper’s incident had caused Ariel and her to bond and talk more and make their friendship begin again. When Piper left for this vacation Ariel was very concerned about losing her best friend but since this horrible incident had happened she feels as if this is her chance to regain the friendship back. When high school starts for their freshman year things begin to change again as boys and more drama come into both of the girls lives. They will soon miss the old times and wish that the old friend that they used to know was back again. But what will happen to Ariel and Piper’s friendship, will they gain trust or will they fall apart and never speak to one another again??

Ivy has the world in the palm of her hand for her birthday. Her parents surprise her with a trip to a seemingly-flawless campground, of which they’ve saved up for a long time to visit. Her best friend of two years is going with her. She even meets an amazing boy and gets to know him. Everything is falling into place, and then she meets Mae. Ivy and her friends Oliver, Ella, and Marceline must stop Mae, a horrible child with an inner demon, from causing harm to their families and their town. They form an alliance and work for the ability to beat her.

Looking for information in the antique books of Marceline and Oliver’s basement, they find a very useful excerpt. It’s an ancient curse caused by an emptiness of heart. A demon will possess one who no longer has meaning or purpose. It causes eternal life until the carrier of the demon can overcome it with meaning, which is close to impossible. But there is one other choice in which is very easy... poisoned onyx blackberries. There are few of the rare bushes in the world, but Ivy just happens to be camping by one. The trick is now getting Mae to eat them.
