Our food system starts in our own backyard , and this workshop with Farmer Jay will equip you with the skills and knowhow to grow something . Farmer Jay is part of the next generation of farmers . Whether in a container , raised bed or on the flower beds you already have around your house , Farmer Jay will teach you different organic methods to start and care for a garden . You ' ll also learn where to find information about the plants you ' re growing , and explore how to harvest your plants . Come learn the basics on the best way to get started .

2018 Senior Academy

The Town of Jupiter is partnering with the Palm Beach County Division of Senior Services for this year ’ s Senior Academy . This free academy provides seniors with valuable information about Social Security benefits , Medicare , senior fitness and nutrition , how to prevent fraud and abuse , estate planning and more . All sessions take place at the Jupiter Community Center on Wednesdays from 1 - 4:30 pm .

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME

Mark your calendars for the 2018 National Night Out ! The Jupiter Police Department is partnering with Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium again this year to host a National Night Out event . This police and community partnership program takes place all across the U . S . on the first Tuesday in August . In Jupiter , neighborhoods will join together as one community at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium to bring awareness to crime and drug prevention ; generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts ; strengthen the neighborhood spirit and police community relations ; and send a message that our neighborhoods are fighting back against crime . Jupiter Police Department Citizen Survey

The Jupiter Police Department ’ s citizen survey is part of a continuing effort to provide professional and efficient police services to residents of the Town of Jupiter . Responses will be used to evaluate the service you have received , recognize positive performance , and identify opportunities for improvement . Your feedback will also provide valuable insight into how we might improve community relations and better serve our residents . On May 1 , 2018 , the Town Council approved $ 50,274 in Neighborhood Matching Grants to 13 different neighborhood groups throughout Jupiter . Grants were awarded for entrance signs , landscaping , trees , benches , sidewalks , security cameras , pet waste stations , and replacing old community mailboxes . With the Town ’ s contribution , the associations will be able to accomplish $ 142,191 in community enhancement projects .

This year , the following neighborhoods were awarded a Neighborhood Grant :

• Ocean Cove

• Woodland Estates

• Lakes at the Bluffs

Neighborhood Matching Grants are awarded every year . Each grant award can be as much as $ 5,000 and requires a 50 % community match . Additionally , the initiative to participate in the program must come from residents and their associations .

The Town of Jupiter updated its parking regulations in 2012 to address a number of parking issues that were of concern to the Town and its residents . As a reminder , regulations are in force in Jupiter that clarify what is permitted when parking passenger cars , trucks , boats , trailers , or recreational vehicles in the front , side , side corner or rear yards , or in swales .
