TOWN OF JUPITER TOWN OF JUPITER RECREATION CONNECTION REC CONNECT PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES RECREATION PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES Jupiter Community Center • 200 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458 VOL 25 NO 1 • JAN-MAR 2018 NOTE FROM DIRECTOR INSIDE THIS ISSUE... Happy 2018! With the holiday season behind us, the new year often brings with it many resolutions for our personal and professional improvement. How many of us have started the year with goals to lose weight, eat less, exercise more, clean out the closets, only to be derailed by the second week of effort? Studies have shown that the most common reasons for people not keeping their New Year's resolutions are setting unrealistic goals for themselves, failing to keep track of their progress, or just completely forgetting about their goals altogether. Perhaps a more realistic resolution to start the year with would be to try one new activity every month. The activity opportunities are endless here in Jupiter and could include something as simple as just getting outside more often. This is the time of year for which many of us transplants moved to Florida and it seems only fitting that we take advantage of the beautiful weather that winter and spring brings us.
