Fundación REY, Tourist Police and Unicolombo: For an inclusive Tourism!
The World Tourism Day slogan for 2016 was Tourism for all: Promoting Universal Accessibility. Based on this, the Hotel and Tourism Administration Program offered the Fundación Rey’s children the opportunity to access to a local tourism offer: a city tour, with the help of 3rd. semester students.
Tourism for all implies to let people with disabilities to have an opportunity to visit and enjoy tourist attractions. In this case, the Fundación Rey's children traveled to the Historic Center on a chiva and enjoyed the tour discovering the most important Cartagena's historic events.
The Cartagena Tourist Police was present to support the tour and to encourage the visitors and natives to take care of all the children, avoiding their sexual exploitation, and protecting all their human rights.
