The students from 6th semester of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management had the opportunity to received an special class, visiting 3K Events, an enterprise dedicated to design and produce social events. They enjoyed this academic visit leaded by the professor Francisco Vergara, who teaches the subject: Event Management.
There, the students learnt about the new trends in events management in Cartagena de Indias. This enterprise offers services related to equipment renting, concerts, congress, wedding and fairs.
As the vision of Cartagena de Indias Convention and Visitors Bureau is to make Cartagena de Indias a the best Meeting Tourism destination in Colombia and in Latin America, it is important that students of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management of Fundación Universitaria Colombo Internacional - Unicolombo get the competences to organize and manage different type of events.
The subject Event Management imparted in 6th semester becomes the opportunity to develop these abilities. The students take this subject with previous knowledge of event logistics, a subject imparted in 4th semester.
