Academic Trek
Stop ESCNNA in Tourism Industry is one of the research group of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Its main is to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of children and teenagers.
The prevention plan for 2018 - 1P consisted in training high school students about this topic. It is important that young people in Cartagena and Bolívar know that the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Teenagers, CSEC is a crime against their physical and moral integrity.
Thanks to the semillerista (student member of the research group) Cristian García, María Reina school opened a space to train the eleven graders students.
The first lecture was developped on march 12th by professor Jesús Vergara, the leader of this research group. The topic was: Sexual Education as a proposal of integral formation.
The students payed attention to the lecture and after the professor Vergara explanation, they talked to him in order to clarify some doubts.
Finally, the professor informed about complaints mechanisms focusing on sexual exploitation and the integral assistance route.
