The students learn about civil security

Events trek

The auditorium was the ideal place for a police officer from the National Police to share with the students of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management. This was an initiative of Unicolombo's Wellbeing office, in order to encourage the students to be careful because of the civil insecurity of the city.

It is important to be careful to safeguard themselves and their properties. But, the most important thing: safeguard the life.

Some of the preventive measures to avoid to be mugged are the following:

1. Avoid using the cellphone walking on the street.

2. Walk in groups.

3. Staying aware.

4. Avoid retaliating.

5. Safety should be a priority.

The Unicolombo's Wellbeing office also invited a traffic officer. In this opportunity, the students were training about the duties of care of the pedestrian to avoid accidents.

This kind of encounters with experts in traffic are very important, because our city is changing: there are more vehicle traffic on our public roadways, and more imprudence because everybody is in a hurry and wants to have the priority. Additionally, we have a new transportation system that implies to have new behaviors on the public road.

Some of the recommendations about this topic are the following:

1. Respect the pedestrian traffic signs.

2. Avoid crossing when vehicles do not give the way to pedestrians.

3. Wait for the traffic officer instruction before crossing the street.
