A Mobile Application for tourists in ACIET

The last august 30th in the auditorium of Tecnar, my group and me, , had a space to expose our innovation project which consist on a mobile application in order to provide and improve the touristic information services about Cartagena de Indias.
Cartagena de Indias as the main destination in Colombia, when it comes to tourism, and that is working daily to take a stance as a worldwide top destination and be at the front along with the other top touristic cities.
In the age of millennial travelers, the technology is the most important element to offer and sell a product or a service, this is why we are looking for providing and improving the touristic information about Cartagena de Indias through an interactive and friendly application.
It would provide a variety of recommendations about restaurants, clubs, islands, monuments, among other interesting activities to enjoy. Also, the idea is to create our own tours and unique experiences including a real time chat to assist all the customer´s requests or doubts. We will be concierges in the city.
We´re thinking include a map with specific places such us ATM´s location, drugstore, near hospital or police station, and a calendar with the local events such as “fritos” festival, guitar´s festival, November festivities, etcetera.
This project has been expounded at the Unicolombo Innovation Fair, in the Regional and National meeting of project of investigation and innovation organized by RedColsi (Red Colombiana de semilleros de investigación) and also in other local events.
I think this App will produce an impact on the local and foreigner people that really like to explore the city in a different way.
I hope to continue working on this project and be able to lead it, so it becomes in one of the most important contributions to the tourism in Cartagena de Indias.
