TOURISM TODAY
The last 25th april, an accademic visit to Las Américas Beach Resort (530 rooms in total) took place with 5th semester students of the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management. The students were lead by professor Edwin Torres, who taugh about the impact of resort hotels in Cartagena de Indias.
Then, Professor Edwin guided the group of students to the different areas of the hotel, in order to demonstrate the importance of every department and the teamwork.
Further, the students knew the convention center of this resort, which has 6.356 square meters, with a capacity of 900 to 5.000 invited. This capacity is divided in 5 rooms and ambients:
1. Nueva Granada
2. El Pabellón
3. La Santa María
4. La Plaza Mayor (Outdoor ambient)
5. La Plaza de la Independencia (Outdoor ambient)
In the next tower, Casa Playa, the hotel has the following rooms:
1.Imperial
2. Nuevo Mundo
3. Américo Vespucio
4. Cristobal Colón
5. Comedor de los Reyes
6. Balcón del Almirante
