Quebec fashion retailer Simons opened its first Calgary store in March 2017 . Located in The CORE , it uses five floors of the historic downtown Lancaster Building . Simons is well known for offering diverse and fashion-forward clothing and home accessories , including its own exclusive private label brands for men and women .

Calgary is home to the only Nordstrom store between Vancouver and Toronto , anchoring one side of CF Chinook Centre . The famous American retailer carries a well-curated mix of fashion brands for women , men , and children , along with services such as free personal stylists , on-site alterations , beauty stylists , as well as a café and the full-service restaurant Bazille .

While Calgary shoppers eagerly await the arrival of the iconic department store Saks Fifth Avenue in 2018 , they can get their fix at Saks Off 5th in CrossIron Mills . The outlet store features discount designer clothing and accessories for as much as 60 percent off original prices .

Hudson ’ s Bay claims the title of the oldest company in North America , and it operates exclusively in Canada . The department store ’ s iconic striped pattern is a distinctive part of the nation ’ s history , as are its signature red mittens ( pictured ). Five locations in Calgary offer fashion , beauty , and home items for the whole family in hundreds of top brands .

There ’ s always something interesting to find at IKEA , whether it ’ s a quirky knick-knack , some artwork , a large piece of furniture , or simply some delicious soft-serve ice cream in the foodcourt . Plus , by the end of 2017 , IKEA will be bigger and better than ever after a $ 15 million expansion .
