FUNDRAISING SNAPSHOT Wheely making a change In June this year, 15 of Brisbane’s best business leaders braved the dizzying heights on the Wheel of Brisbane to support CPL’s Let’s Talk Program. The support of teams from Star Entertainment Group, JSA Creative, Staples and IPA has meant that CPL’s Let’s Talk program will continue to provide people with complex communication needs the opportunity and support they need to communicate with the world around them. CPL’s Assistive Technology Manager, Rebecca Daniloff, explained that Let’s Talk Days are designed to “develop the communication skills and grow the confidence of people with complex communication needs”. “Let’s Talk works with each person and their unique abilities to find the right assistive technology and devices that will give them the best possible chance of communicating. “Assistive communication devices are expensive and can cost tens of thousands of dollars, so it is not practical or possible for families to buy multiple devices.
