Farewell from CEO At the beginning of December this year, I will be stepping down as CEO of CPL. I have loved every minute of the last nine years working as CEO, but I’m now ready to retire so I can spend more time with my family. I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved over the last nine years and I have no doubt that CPL has a bright future ahead under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. During my time at CPL, I had two major goals. The first was to represent CPL and advocate for the NDIS to become a reality for people with disabilities. One of my favourite memories is marching through Brisbane City with many of our clients and families to rally for the NDIS. Now that the NDIS is almost upon us, make sure you are prepared and know what you want. Use the NDIS and services from CPL to create the life you have always wanted. The second was to then lead CPL into the NDIS world. It has been so satisfying to see this NDIS roll out in Townsville this year and to work towards Toowoomba’s rollout in January. We are well prepared but there is still so much to do to make sure we are delivering the services that our clients want and in a way that enhances their quality of life. 2008 2009 2010
