Working with asOne has helped me to learn about the challenges and opportunities of the NDIS, because Canberra has already transitioned to the new scheme. The second was my role as the General Manager of Strategy, Brand and Product here at CPL. I looked after strategy and product development for CPL services and managed the new CPL – Choice, Passion, Life brand. I also worked with CPL’s NDIS Transition team, the Marketing and Communications team and our My Life Consultancy service. Q A You’ve been with CPL for over 10 years! What kind of work have you done over this time? I started with CPL as an Occupational Therapist in our Rockhampton team, so supporting people to reach their goals is something I have always been passionate about. More recently I have worn two hats, the first being as CEO of asOne Therapy in Canberra, which is a joint venture between CPL and a few other disability service providers so we could learn 16 Touchstone Summer 2016 “ Both of these roles have kept me busy and have enabled me to speak with lots of clients and staff across Qld and the ACT. I love meeting people who are passionate about their life and hearing how we can deliver supports that maximise opportunities for them. The reason I know this is the right position for me is because I am just as excited to come to work today as I was 10 years ago. ” I’ve had a lot of different roles over my time with CPL, but one thing has remained constant and that is focussing on ability - what people can do and how we can support them to achieve their goals.
