1. COMPASSION
First and foremost when we
make contact with one another
we have to be working with a
mental framework of compassion.
That means we have to let go of
“huffing” when someone at home
wants a little massage. Try to think
about the quality time you’ll get
to spend with one another, and
the incredible benefits of touch.
Compassion also means that you
change your pressure to suit what
your family members request - you
have to show the love through
touch, and it’s not “tough love”
either...!

2. FOCUS
”
TRANSFORM TOUCH INTO
A COMMON AND COMFROTABLE
PRACTICE WITH THESE TIPS
There’s actually no such thing as
being a good multitasker. And
...make it FUN, and have a
full massage train going.
”
there’s certainly no such thing as
compassionate multitasking. You
might be able to perform two
simple tasks at the same time,
but that’s not the same as paying
attention to what you’re doing.
Paying full attention requires you to
turn off the TV, put the book down
and get rid of any of the other
distractions currently stealing you
away from fully nurturing your family
relationships. Doing so also speaks
volumes to your partner/children/
cousins/nephews/neices. It silently
says, “You’re more important to
me than any of this.”
3. REGULARITY
Shorter
but
more
frequent
massages are really the way to
go with the family. A 5-minute
shoulder squeeze every few days
can not only be more practical
than a full massage session, it’s
also easier to keep your full focus
and attention on the task. When
it’s a matter of gathering everyone
together as well, it usually requires
shorter periods of time for it to be
sustainable.
4. FUN: MASSAGE TRAIN
Get the whole family together
- make it FUN, and have a full
massage train going - and if you
have enough people, you can
wrap it around into a circle. If you
don’t, you’ll have to make sure
you switch the person at the back
every few minutes so that they get
some love too! Especially when
