M . est , will feature local heavyweights such as Experiment 3R , Vextion , The Riffs , I Am Tommy and the band that has social media buzzing , Dark Sky Choir . DCS ’ s manager Rick Santaniello states , “ Doing a show like this is important to me personally , as well as DSC , having lived through the devastation of Hurricane Sandy . After Sandy , I lost vehicles and hundreds of thousands of dollars in loss and damages . Living at the Jersey Shore , I not only witnessed the destruction , but also was impacted by it . You feel as if you ’ ve been violated and it is a long-lasting feeling . Being a part of this is important to us . Whatever we can do and whatever help we can be is an honor . The event also has other really exciting bands playing with us that we really respect and are privileged to share the day with . We have I am Tommy , Experiment 34 , which is a very exciting young band , and we have Vextion , a band I personally am excited to see . I dig their stuff and can ’ t wait to hear it . Also , of course , our brothers in The Riffs . These guys bring it every show . Their energy is awesome , they are fun and they kill it every time they take the stage . It ’ s a great feeling to be doing something for such a good cause and to be a part of an event that helps folks that are going through something that is all too familiar to each one of us .”
Dark Sky Choir ’ s founder and guitartist , Fred Gorhau adds , “ Playing a concert like this means a lot to me . There are some people who have lost everything they have ever owned . If I can play a small part in helping them put their lives back together , it ’ s well worth it .
Sandy was terrible for many people I know . I was very lucky that I only had a broken window and lost power for a week .” There will be a Chinese gift auction and more .
