The most requested song of 2001 has given way to one of the most celebrated and consistent rock and roll bands . Lifehouse looks back on an amazing 17 year career with a greatest hits package for everyone and there are no signs of them slowing up just yet .

In her debut interview for Total Order Magazine , Kimberly Ann sits down with the entire band with an exclusive interview while in the middle of their nationwide tour with Switchfoot .
How is your summer tour going so far ?
LH : So far it ’ s great ! We are out with Switchfoot and we are six shows deep . The dynamic of us getting back together is really fun and smooth . The guys in Switchfoot are great guys , too , so it ’ s one of those summer tours that it ’ s just lining up to be a lot of fun for us . Especially , after being a band as long as we have , to continue to do what we do , we are really grateful to be doing this right now .
Is this your first time playing with the guys in Switchfoot ?
LH : We played one show with Switchfoot ten or eleven years ago at a college . I ran into John , the singer , at a couple screenings when we were trying to write a couple of songs for a specific film . I was a fan of them when I was a teenager so we kind of had that connection . But , yeah we really like those guys .
So the greatest hits package gave you time to go back on an amazing 17 years of your career so far . What are some of the first things that come to mind ? LH : Probably the biggest is “ Hanging by a Moment ”, and it kind of exploding on the radio in 2001 . We ’ ve had some amazing show opportunities to open up for Coldplay at a stadium a couple years ago in Europe . That was amazing . We got to open for The Rolling Stones . There ’ s been all kinds of pinnacle moments , but “ Hanging by a Moment ” is what started it all for us .
