OHIO

Ohio has been very busy these past few months! We have held several fun service events which have made a great impact on our local communities and schools, and two schools from Ohio even won the national club of the month this year. In addition to this we held our state convention in mid-March which was a huge success. This year our normal convention location was unavailable so we had to relocate to new exciting location. At convention we had graphic arts contests, Certamen, academic tests, and much more. We are all excited to attend the national convention and have even planned a pre-nationals picnic to prepare. We are looking forward to seeing all our JCL friends from around the country!

WISCONSIN

After rebounding from a highly successful state convention at the end of January, the Wisconsin JCL set its sights on new territory. Along with individual clubs' National Classics Week traditions (including such events as toga days and chariot races), the WJCL introduced its first mid-season Certamen tournament. A resounding triumph, the event connected dedicated students from more than half a dozen schools (including three new ones), and should serve as a launching pad for even more in the years to come.

Now, the WJCL turns its sights towards nationals at Trinity – especially the coveted Ludi events.
