TORCH: U.S.
note
Honestly, I'm both very excited and nervous as I make this issue of the Torch: U.S. In it, you will notice many changes in the layout and style. I made these changes in the hopes that they might provide a new Torch-reading experience for some. Although straying from tradition was a little nerve-wracking, I definitely enjoyed every moment of putting this issue together and trying to be creative with the new design. In striving to be innovative with not only the format but also the content of a more official publication, I learned many things throughout the process of searching for a balance between maintaining a level of formality but also appealing to a wider audience. I hope these efforts altogether enhance your experience as you read this issue!
Most of the content featured in this issue comes from people like you. Really, people of any interests or strengths can submit to the Torch: U.S. From JCL state officers to memelords (keep flipping through this issue and you will see what I mean), everyone can take the opportunity to share his or her ideas and thoughts in this publication. The more diverse the authorship of the publication, the more likely it is for different kinds of people to become interested in it! I hope that the variety of content demonstrated in this issue encourages many of you to consider sending in submissions for the next issue as well. Also, thank you to all who sent in submissions throughout the months of October and November.
