I could not be happier with the way my term is going so far! For the past few months, I have been focusing on Presidents' Insight, a monthly email that contains contest details and other important notifications which is sent to each state president. I believe that this has strengthened the number of submissions there have been for contests as well as kept some of the smaller state more informed about current happenings. In addition to this, I was preparing for October's Fall Planning in North Dakota. I worked hard with my officers to prepare an agenda and help decide on some of the locations for National Convention.

1. How is your term so far? What have you been doing in the past few months?
2. What's your favorite part about being president?
My favorite part about being President is being able to
help my officers in any way that I can, such a offering my assistance with their duties or collaborating on ideas. It feels great that I can be a reliable source for them!
3. Is being a national officer what you expected?
Being a national officer is exactly what I expected! I envisioned having passionate officers to work with (check!) and having supportive mentors that allow me to learn and grow as my term continues (check!!).
My main goal as President is to better connect state presidents with all of the resources available at the national level so they can strengthen their own states with these resources. Ultimately, this betters the JCL and the JCL experience as a whole.
