Salvete, amici!

I hope you're all as excited for national convention as I am. Your officers have been working hard to prepare everything we'll need to succeed at Troy, Certamen teams have been putting in hours of studying and practice, and we're gearing up for Ludi.

Whether this is your first convention or you're a returning JCLer, make sure to take advantage of all the unique opportunities that national convention affords. You can take tests about interesting aspects of Roman culture, showcase your talent for painting by entering the graphic arts competition, talk to candidates for national office about their plans to shape the NJCL, or even (new this year) participate in a lip sync battle. However you choose to spend your time in Alabama, make sure to try to step out of your comfort zone and talk to new people. Convention is best spent with friends, and you'll find no shortage of people to make memories with.

I can't wait to see you there!

E corde,

Margot Armbruster
