CANDIDATE BIOGRAPHIES: SECOND VP
Jacob Brink, Homestead
What do you do outside of Latin and school?
Outside of school and Latin, I am an active member of Artistic
Outreach, a service group that makes art projects for people in
need. I am also on the Board of Directors for Homestead’s Model
UN. Additionally, I am a part of Interact, a general service club run
through Homestead. I am also on the Board of Directors for the
Relearn Foundation. The Relearn Foundation is a student-run
organization that provides underprivileged kids with school supplies
in the greater Milwaukee area and Jamaica. I got into this
foundation through another organization that I am part of, Pivotal
Directions. This is an international service organization that offers
service trips to both Jamaica and Guatemala.
What position are you running for? Why did you choose to run
for it?
I am running for 2nd Vice President. I chose to run for this position
because I have always been invested in both spirit and service
throughout my life. They have both played a key role in how I
changed myself for the better. Service has given me a way to excel my life to a higher purpose. Also Spirit has always
enabled me to express my passions and creativity. Overall, the job 2nd Vice President incorporates two things I am
extremely passionate about and would be the best fit.
Why are you the best choice for your chosen position?
I am the best choice because my personality complements the tasks and responsibilities of the job. I am hard working
and I would work endlessly until I know that I not only accomplished the job, but I have exceeded the high expectations
upon me. Additionally, I am very creative and energetic which would aid me specifically in the spirit aspect of the job.
If elected, what changes would you implement? What would you keep the same?
I would implement a more wide reaching service initiative so the WJCL can touch as many people as possible. By
increasing the amount and effectiveness of service projects that the WJCL participates in we would not only help more
people, but we would expand the WJCL’s impact. I would continue the tradition of excellence of WJCL’s spirit.
Personally, my favorite memory of nationals was getting absolutely crazy with some of my best friends. I believe that is
the experience that every single WJCLer should experience, and I want to make sure that everyone can feel the same
joy and pride that I felt.
You’ve been sent home at your parents expense. What did you do?
I got a little too rowdy playing Candyland at midnight.

Which Greek or Roman god are you and why?
Fontus (The god of wells and springs) cause I’m overflowing with good ideas.
Stranger Things or Riverdale?
Stranger Things 100%, no question.

I can run surprisingly fast.
