What do you do outside of Latin and school ?
Outside of Latin and school , there isn ' t much time for anything , honestly . When I do have time , I read some books and watch some Netflix . I also work now , at an indoor trampoline park . Some might call me a trampoline life guard . ( Credits to Camryn Reid )
What position are you running for ? Why did you choose to run for it ?
I am running for the position of President because I really want to continue to contribute to the WJCL . As current President , I have had the opportunity to work with an incredible board , and I can ' t wait to do it again , if you ' ll permit me . This past year has been the best of my life , mostly because I got the honor of serving you , the WJCLers . It would be a dream come true to serve you again .
Why are you the best candidate for your chosen position ?
I am the best candidate for this position because I have both the experience and the motivation . I have served on my school board as State Representative , as well as on the state board as 1st VP , before becoming President over the summer due to unforeseen circumstances . Possibly more important than the experience , I have the motivation . I am extremely dedicated to Latin , spending most of my time outside of school either studying Certamen or planning for WJCL events / board meetings . If you elect me , I would have the greatest pleasure of serving as your President .
If elected , what changes would you implement ? What would you keep the same ?
If elected , I would like to smooth the transitional process between boards to ensure nothing gets lost and the new board members feel comfortable in their positions and have all the information they need to serve you . I would also implement more bonding activities among the board to make it more unified . I would keep at board meetings and national and state convention planning and processes the same , as if has all worked so well so far .
You ’ ve been sent home at your parents ’ expense . What did you do ? I got caught organizing a dance on Thursday after lights out . Got too rowdy . Oops . Which Greek or Roman god are you and why ?
I would say I ' m Hermes because I ' m a big traveler , and I wouldn ' t mind the shoes or helmet because being able to fly would be cool . And I ' m a thief : I stole your heart .
