CANDIDATE BIOGRAPHIES: SECRETARY
Aayush Agrawal, Brookfield East
What do you do outside of Latin and school?
Outside of Latin and school, I enjoy playing tennis and
competing in USTA tournaments across Wisconsin. In addition to
school activities, I am one of the captains for S.M.A.R.T. team in
which we study a biological protein and create a poster about its
function and impact on our world today. I also enjoy spending
time with my friends, watching all types of movies (besides Star
Wars), and enjoying the warm Wisconsin weather:
What position are you running for? Why did you choose to
run for it?
I am running for WJCL Secretary because I want to play a role in
providing a fun and friendly environment for every delegate to
enjoy, just like I experienced when I attended last year’s
convention.
Why are you the best candidate for your chosen position?
I believe I am the best candidate for Secretary because I take
quick notes and I am very organized. I have the experience by
being on my school’s Latin Club Board this year, and I have
taken minutes on long discussions for S.M.A.R.T. team. Most
importantly, I have a passion for Latin and I love how fun JCL is.
If elected, what changes would you implement? What would you keep the same?
The current Secretary, Sabrina, has done a great job and I really like how she adds humor and color coding
to her minutes. I would like to continue incorporating humor and colors to make the minutes fun and
entertaining to read. In addition, I would like to share minutes within 24 hours after the board meeting to keep
those who couldn’t attend up to date. However, I don’t want to just take minutes, I also want to add a group
photo of everybody who attended the meeting to build camaraderie and memories.
You’ve been sent home at your parents’ expense. What did you do?
I slept on my SpongeBob pillow.
What was your favorite album of 2017?
My favorite album of 2017 was Everybody by Logic. He is very inspirational and sends a good message about
how everyone should love one another, be empathetic, and not care about what other people think of you.
Which Greek or Roman god are you and why?
I am Hermes, the son of Zeus and Maia, because I am responsible for sending information and messages
from one place to another in many of the clubs I partake in. Also, I like traveling around the world and
experiencing new cultures, just like Hermes flying all over the world. And yes, just like Hermes I could be
mischievous sometimes. Watch out.

Go Vote for Aayush because...dang it. Why can’t anything rhyme with my name?!?! This is not fair.
