Thank you, Miami

Maybe it was the pleasant surprise of the unexpected sunny days despite the previous rainy forecasts. Or perhaps it was the long walking

distance from Armstrong to Millett Hall that forced you to converse with JCLers you had never met before along the way. Whatever it was, something about Miami University made it very easy to call it a second home. We owe this sense of comfort to the people who spent much effort and time throughout the school year to make the 2018 NJCL convention one that we will never forget.

Thank you to Miami University for hosting this event on their beautiful campus. It's incredibly flattering that they instilled so must trust in us, a group of almost two thousand spirited teenagers, with their clean facilities and dorms. From the popular ice cream parlor to state-of-the-art pools, there was truly no better place for national convention this year than Miami University.

Also, thank you to the entire Ohio JCL

delegation. Your immediate friendly approaches as soon as we stepped foot on

campus were a delightful reminder of what a JCL convention is all about. Your reassuring smiles and small greetings to students floating about made the possibility of getting lost a little less scary, and wandering without a map became more exciting than daunting. Thank you for embodying the JCL values in the most perfect way.

Lastly, thank you to the National Committee and the 2017-2018 NJCL board. The months spent planning and organizing this event were evident in the amazing success of this convention. A convention that fostered long-lasting friendships, created memories, and enriched our total growth - none of which would have been possible without the executive board's work. Thank you for providing so many students with this experience of a lifetime.

There are many other unrecognized people worth thanking. To all JCLers, an environment such like convention is so impactful only because it's filled with passionate students like you. Thank you for contributing to this enriching experience and reminding us that all roads truly do lead to Ohio.
