convention and convention contests), created the state service competition, added Delegation of the Day to the spirit competition, worked with Michael on National Classics Week, worked to improve communication, set up a Google Drive folder structure for states to share materials in addition to other projects. Whether you submitted deduce to me or simply told me about a project, you personally increased my capacity to love, learn, and grow. My heart has grown infinite fold because you inspire me to serve more, care more, and love more.

Thank you for all the lessons whether academic or social. Thank you for all the friendship and camaraderie. Above all, thank you for the love, no matter the circumstances. I'll always be a JCLer at heart, but now I must join the ranks of the SCL.

Keep it PG (Purple and Gold),

Everlasting

Last year was a blur of

exceeded expectations

and incredible humility.

I've said this many times

before, but being able to

see for myself all the

amazing things that the

NJCL does and creates on

a national scale is an

experience like no other. I

knew that I would learn

much and be impressed

and I was still unprepared for what I witnessed. Last nationals felt like no other. It was my fourth - and my last as a JCLer - and although I knew so many people there in comparison to my first nationals when everything was new and bizarre, it had a sense of new wonder to it that the others didn't. I think that it's a natural result of having worked and been a part of something for a whole year. Seeing its realization unfold in front of me for a week was a giddy experience. Everywhere I went I remembered being there months and months earlier. We walked into rooms and across campus for hours on end, wondering where the dance would take place, or the academic tests. Returning to Bloomington in the summer felt like revisiting an old friend, catching up on the past and having a new week-long adventure with one another. It was oddly nostalgic, comforting, and triumphant. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. If it was your last one as a JCLer - as it was mine - I hope you will consider returning another year (and maybe one day claim your bowl?)

2015-2016 Communications Coordinator

Happily Ever After

Salvete omnes,

It is bittersweet to be

writing about my last year

and convention as a JCL’er

and to be completing my

last article as NJCL

Parliamentarian.

Nevertheless, I would like to

happily announce that the

three bylaw amendments

presented at convention

were ratified. I am also glad to report that the elections proceeded swimmingly this year. Many expressed interest in running throughout the year, with fourteen individuals pre-filing for office by June. After a week of a flurry of campaigning at convention, with nominations from the floor of the Nominations Committee Meeting, numerous speeches and introductions, and an abundance of flyers posted onto the windows of Indiana University, your new 2016-2017 National Officers were elected. I am pleased with the hard work of the candidates thus far, and am confident they will serve the JCL well this upcoming year.

Before signing off as parliamentarian, I must say thank you to the entire National Committee for
