Canterbury A&P Show
The youth section at Canterbury Show this year was filled with a
strong line up on young beef enthusiasts, with FBNZ members at
the forefront of the competitor line-ups. Congratulations to FBNZ
member, Georgia Rhodes who won the Senior Beef Herdsperson
and Lady Diana Isaac Scholarship and will travel to Canberra Royal
Show in February to compete in the Beef Youth section at the
show.
Hannah Ashworth was Runner-up in the Intermediate Beef
Herdsperson and the recipient of $500 sponsored by Agrisea Ltd
to travel and compete at the 2018 FBNZ ‘Hoof & Hook’
competition (what an awesome prize!)
Also a huge congratulations to past FBNZ member and 2011 Allflex
Intermediate Ambassador, Will Gibson on an extremely successful
Show with his yearling Hereford bull ‘Foulden Hill Mustang’. Will
and Mustang won the Junior Meat and Wool Cup before going on
to claim the Overall Meat & Wool Cup as well.
