technical hurdles to overcome, but we basically had the thing working. I think we even had the tap tempo working on it. But soon we noticed we had to start replacing the chips. Then to our horror we saw in the datasheet that the chips were only reliable for 100,000 write/playback cycles. This is totally reasonable for a looper, but for a delay it meant that, with something like a 200 millisecond delay time (very typical of course), the pedal would only work for like an hour.
