To celebrate ten years in the boutique
effects game, Empress Effects has decided
to reissue a limited run o the Tremolo,
the pedal that started it all. Featuring a
full quiver of trem features, the Tremolo
provides as many options as are available,
features that all tremolos on the market
today have yet to replicate in their entirety.
The reissue tremolo is limited to 250 pieces.

➋ TWA HEATS UP WITH THE
HOT SAKÉ
TWA’s hand-built Hot Saké began its life
as a Japanese distortion box, of which
there were hundreds in the silicon boom
of dirt boxes. The core circuit gets a lift
from several enhancements found on no
pedals from that era—namely dedicated
knobs for both Tone and Mids, as well as
a mode switch that recalls all flavors of
dirt from light grit to saturated sludge.

FIRST PEDAL IN 10 YEARS, THE
OKTO-NØJS
Emma’s first product in a decade, the
Okto-Nøjs combines two effects in one
box. The Okto is a precision-tracking
octave down that tracks extremely
quickly for minimal latency. This slams
into the Nøjs, a highly-tuned fuzz box
with tons of enticing options, that
transforms the pedal into a different
beast entirely.
