When you plug it in, you’ll notice two
things: Firstly, Tim Escobedo is a genius,
and secondly, Andy was 100 percent
right. This thing sounds like nothing
you’ve ever heard. Even mild knob turns
can change the beast from a high-gain
fuzz unit to a throbbing synthy beast.
When the Threshold control is turned
up to around noon, a deep, harmonic
oscillation turns on that can be varied
with the Frequency control, and playing
over the oscillation gives way to wild
octave-down madness. You’ll spend
days with this box until you figure out
all it has to offer, and you get out what
