Nashville is HOT in late-June . It ’ s humid and sticky . The crowds on lower Broadway push in and out of the bars in sweaty masses . But inside the convention center known as the Nashville Music City Center , things are even hotter ( metaphorically speaking ). It is here that Summer NAMM takes place , and it ’ s there that gear makers from across the country , and the world , are sharing their latest and greatest gear . Some of it is ready to hit the streets , some are a few months from release , and some are destined for years in limbo ( Bogner LaGrange , I ’ m looking in your direction ). Summer NAMM is chock full of awesome gear . The following are a few of the things we ’ re really excited about .
REVEREND JEN WASNER SIGNATURE MODEL A short time ago at Winter NAMM , Reverend wowed us with the Billy Corgan Signature model guitar . And now they ’ re back with another signature model — this one from Jen Wasner of Wye Oak ( and also Flock of Dimes and Dungeonesse ). Derived from Jen ’ s trusty Reverend Charger HB , her signature model offers a Korina body , 25.5-inch maple neck with maple fretboard , and humbuckers . It also offers Reverend ’ s Pin-Lock tuners and its ridiculously stable six-bolt neck . For visual appeal , the guitar ’ s finish is based off a design from Baltimore-based textile artist April Camlin . The black and white design is certainly original .
