PIGTRONIX POWER PROS: More 18-volt taps (six) than any other supply. Clean, low-noise power regulation. CONS: Price is a bit high for players on the fence. 28 TONE TALK // Because many Pigtronix pedals run at 18 volts, there aren’t many power supplies out there that are equipped to run several of them at once. Pigtronix has solved the issue with the superflexible Pigtronix Power. In addition to two dedicated 18-volt plugs, the Pigtronix Power offers two nine-volt taps and four completely adjustable taps that range from nine to 18 volts. For players that run their effects at higher voltages, that’s a total of six 18-volt taps—far more than any other power supply. That said, if you’re the type to run a plethora of dirt pedals, the Pigtronix Power is the ticket; nothing on the market provides nearly as many high-headroom taps for voltagehungry dirt boxes. Unfortunately, the price is close to 300 dollars, which gives it a rather low taps-to-price ratio. Power Up: The Definitive Power Supply Buyer’s Guide
