WITH THE 720

Electro-Harmonix has doubled the loop time of
its groundbreaking 360 looper to 720 seconds
(12 minutes) across many patches. Users also get
a switch for Undo-Redo, Reverse and Half Speed
for handy implementation. The 720 also features
high-quality A/D/A converters with a 44.1kHz
sample rate for CD quality loops. A Level knob
helps players let loops run behind the action or
up front for complicated soundscapes.

After two years of prototyping, the David Allen
TRU 59 S V set is ready to launch. The idea behind
the set is the concept of emulation within the realm
of utility. The set began with an approximation of
a famous Stevie Ray Vaughan tone but then arced
into an everyday tone that players of all walks
could enjoy. David Allen assures players that his
’59 packs enough juice for Stevie tones while still
being able to nail all sounds of the era.

After plenty of experimentation, Fuzzhugger(fx)
has updated its classic AB-Synth fuzz and
transformed it into the Sonic Shroom. Fans of
Fuzzhugger will note that founder Tom Dalton’s
creation take a step outside the fuzz box and
the Shroom is no different. Several downright
hallucinogenic sounds can be coaxed from
the pedal with a combination of its oscillation
footswitch and Trip controls.
