THE FUNDAMENTAL TWEAKS To get most guitars in good, functional playing condition, the necessary points of adjustment will be the neck, the action at the bridge, the intonation, and the pickup height. I would suggest doing these adjustments in the order I just listed them in, particularly because if you adjust the neck and/or bridge after setting the intonation, it will cause your intonation to shift.
