HERE’S THE PARTS LIST FOR THE CIRCUIT BOARD:
• 1 piece of stripboard (Veroboard), size 8x10 holes, with cuts in the correct
spots on the board (see diagram)
• 1 PNP germanium transistor (you can buy Rangemaster-specific germanium
transistors at http://smallbearelec.com, or if you feel like hunting one down,
get one with hFe between 80–100 and low leakage)
• 1 0.005uF capacitor (also known as 5nF. I’m using a vintage one here; modern
capacitors will have a value of 0.0047uF/4.7nF, this is fine)
• 1 0.01uF capacitor (also known as 10nF, mine is vintage so it looks a
little funny)
• 2 47uF electrolytic capacitors
• 3 resistors, values of 470k, 68k and 3.9k
• 1 A10k potentiometer
• 1 transistor socket (most stores sell these as SIP sockets, cut to fit)
• 7 two-inch lengths of wires, ends stripped (use whichever colors you want,
the ones in the photo are color-coded to the layout)
