rusty fuzz Rusty is the name of the game with this one. Inspired by the silicon Fuzz Faces of yesteryear, the Rusty Fuzz is an aggressive, radical fuzz pedal that gives you everything from classic tones in low gain settings to wild gated sounds with higher gain levels. If you need a little fuzz in your life, but aren’t interested in studying the ten billion boutique options that are available, the Rusty Fuzz will do you just fine. skysurfer reverb The Skysurfer Reverb is closer to the EHX Holy Grail than the Hall of Fame. With Spring, Plate, and Hall modes, you can dial in everything from subtle ambience to exaggerated drenched surf tones. There are no presets or fancy shimmer reverbs here, and if you rejoice at that kind of simplicity, I don’t know of any other reverb pedal out there that can do this for under $100. Plus it’s called the Skysurfer, which is pretty neat. tailspin vibrato This is my favorite pedal in the Smorgasbord lineup. I own it, and it is freaking awesome. It has two knobs— Rate and Depth—and that’s all you need. It’s all analog, and all awesome. The vibrato is lush, rich, and warm, and the two knobs actually have a very useable range. Every setting sounds great, and I love the warble I can get with this thing, especially when paired with some reverb. It creates eerie underwater soundscapes with ease, and it’s just really fun to use. ToneReport.com 17
