NOW BOSS AND JHS TEAM UP WITH THE ANGRY DRIVER Boss and JHS have teamed up to deliver one of each company’s most iconic dirt boxes with a slew of routing options. The Angry Driver takes the low-gain crunch of the Boss Blues Driver and the high- gain tones of the JHS Angry Charlie and lets you dial in each circuit just the way you want, then route them in series and parallel in either way you choose. KEELEY EQUIPS THE SUPER PHAT MOD WITH SOME NEW METAL The Germanium Super Phat Mod takes the original Boss Blues Driver circuit, mods it to the same Keeley specs that the man’s been making for years, then swaps out some of the more common silicon parts for two NOS AC128 germanium transistors. The resulting overdrive tone is a little more compressed and undeniably more warm and mojo-laden. BANANANA DROPS THE BASS WITH THE MATRYOSHKA The Bananana Matroyshka gives you a seemingly never-ending array of bass synthesis, letting you unwrap layer after layer in a tiny package. You start by dialing in any one of eight modes that lend a distinct quality to the synthesis, but then you can adjust everything from the clean mix, synth volume, octave mix and a mode-specific knob that expands the functions. 20 NOW PLAY THIS // Buzzworthy Gear
