JHS’s newest version of the Double
Barrel combines two immensely popular
circuits under one hood. On the
right side is the Moonshine v2, which
gives you a wide range of Screamer-
type tones, also known as the perfect
stacking pedal. The left side is an
equally stackable Morning Glory V4,
giving you transparent overdrive that
meshes well with the Moonshine. The Echopark Range Bastard combines
the tried-and-true Rangemaster circuit
with a full-range frequency selector
that was designed in the ‘50s for
military consoles to adapt gear to
human frequencies. This five-position
switch completely revoices the boost
into distinct frequency bands to more
seamlessly meld with your other pedals
or your amp’s front end.

The latest Echosex pedal gives you

Building on the original Gurus Echosex
unit, the T7E Model keeps the engine
intact while adding the most famous
Binson features of all, such as a multi-
head selector knob which gives the
rhythmic repeats that the original is
known for. Wilson’s Lusus Naturae features a
transparent overdrive circuit that’s
buffered at the onset, seeking to
enhance the holiest of drive pedals. The
signal is split into two signal paths with
each running through different parts of
the circuit, then mixed at the output.
Wilson’s version includes a clipping
control that gives you a powerful signal
shaper that enhances the tone greatly.
