Stealth Ultra-Lite
ISP Technologies struck gold
when it released its Stealth
Pro power amplifier. This very
affordable, 180-watt mono (2x80
watt stereo), class AB mini-
monster quickly became popular
with the modeling preamp
crowd. Now, ISP has released an even more
compact mono version, the Stealth Ultra-lite,
which features a built-in preamp designed
expressly to sound and feel amazing with
pedals. The Ultra-Lite measures just under
two by five inches and weighs less than a
pound, making it an ideal pedalboard amp.
It features 12 decibels of gain in the front
end, perfect for dialing in just the right
amount of warm, analog saturation, and
is outfitted with bass and treble controls
for overall tone shaping. Adding further
versatility, the preamp is also designed to
interface easily with professional rack gear.
