BOSS PENS THE FINAL CHAPTER
ON REVERB WITH THE RV-500
Just like its older brother, the DD-500, the
RV-500 represents the final chapter in digital
reverb with more modes and options than
you’ve ever found in a stompbox reverb.
The pedal starts as 12 modes, with many
submodes available in each category.
Players are able to edit five parameters right
on the face of the pedal, with many more
lurking beneath, as well as more control than
we could possibly mention here.
F-PEDALS GETS FUNQED UP
WITH THE PUNQMONK
The PunQmonk delivers a highly
sensitive and dynamic envelope filter
pedal with two separate ranges. The
lone toggle switch on the top of the
unit switches between low and high
frequency ranges, while the center
knob sets the filter’s trigger sensitivity.
The side features an expression input
for F-Pedals’s FXP expression pedal for
some dynamic wah effects.
WALRUS GETS BUCKWILD WITH
THE IRON HORSE V2
Walrus’s original high-gain distortion box has
been updated with a slew of improvements.
Namely, the ranges on the knobs have been
upgraded to dial in more tones at the ends
of the range. The Tone control has been
widened to dial in brighter tones, and the
Distortion control features a smoother taper
for dialing in lower-gain sounds. The Level
control has also been overhauled, allowing
easier unity gain discovery.
