Porter Guitars really started
over 10 years ago. I was chasing
a dream of “not doing a real
job.” What I didn’t understand
was how much work went into
a g u i t a r, b u t I j u s t w e n t f o r i t .
Because of Porter Guitars, Porter
P i c k u p s w a s b o r n . We f o l l o w e d
that particular segment of the
journey as it began to pay the

bills. Long story short, I knew I
always wanted to come back to
guitars, but didn’t know when
the timing was right. I had to
face some fears and really be
patient with the process. In 2016,
people started to come into place
to form a team to explore a re-
l a u n c h o f P o r t e r G u i t a r s . We k n e w
we wanted to build something
that was somewhat on our terms,
