The pots of the circuit board have a tiny metal tab that prevents them from mounting easily . Snap those off with pliers , then mount the board . Put the knobs on at this time if you feel so inclined .
Attach all the free-floating wires to their destinations : Input and output wires go to the switch , ground goes to the as-of-yet unsoldered ground lug ( Step 2 ) and the 9v wire goes to the as-of-yet unsoldered DC jack lug ( Step 3 ). Solder everything in .
Attach wires from the input and output jack tip lugs to their corresponding spots on the switch . This includes the as-of-yet unsoldered lug 9 on the footswitch .
