Clip the transistor legs short enough so they sit a reasonable height from the board , and place them in the sockets ( make sure you put them in the right way , in this picture , mine are in backwards , oops ). Then , place the op-amp in the socket . If you ’ re not using the sockets , place transistors and op-amp according to the diagram and be very careful not to overheat them when soldering .
Use a little trickery to make the electrolytic capacitor ( s ) fit , then bend the leads outward , solder , then clip .
Before you proceed to the next section , get out your multimeter and , on the continuity setting , make sure there is no continuity where there shouldn ’ t be across rows , and absolutely no continuity across board cuts .
