Insert the resistors and diode into the board . Be VERY careful with the germanium diode , as too much pressure will crack the glass and make it worthless . Bend the leads out carefully , solder them and clip them . Save them .
Use the clipped leads to form the jumper wires , place them on the board , bend leads outward and clip . If using , place the sockets into the board and hold a flat object on top , then flip over to hold the sockets in place . Solder them in .
Place the capacitors into the board , bend the leads outward , solder and clip them . Mind the polarity of the electrolytic capacitors ! Sometimes I will place the film caps and electrolytics in a separate step , but I had low-profile electrolytics this time ( thanks , Smallbear !)
