Nicole Boríková My way started at school. I was one of seven students who have been chosen from many students. Our group had 7 members: 5 girls and 2 boys. I was really excited because I have never been to Bulgaria before. Before the way to Bulgaria we had many meetings where we rehearsed the programme for our workshop made for the other groups from another countries. In our Slovak workshop we danced modern and classical dance and sang folk Slovak song. It was the first time for me in the airplane and it was a really interesting experience. I really liked it. We travelled about 4 hours in total - by bus, by plane and by taxi. The way by taxi was crazy! The taxi driver made funny and also terrible jokes. When we arrived to the hotel where the families waited for us, I was a little bit nervous. After that, we went to our new homes for the week. My host family was very kind, friendly and willing to me. I had one bedroom with my host student. Her name is Teddy. She was pretty nervous when I arrived, but after five minutes we talked about everything like we knew each other for ten years. We were like sisters for a week. They welcomed me with traditional bulgarian bread, which should be dipped into honey or some classical products – it was delicious. Two days of the week we spent on trips – in Sofia and Plovdiv. The next two days we had a workshops with other countries, where we were drawing, dancing and making Mandalas – traditional bulgarian decoration made of cotton stripes. It was funny and creative. On the last day of our week in Bulgaria we had a farewell party. We danced, sang song and had a great time together. Every evening we went out with our friends from other countries and we were playing some games, talking to each other, learning new words from other languages and getting to know everyone in the group. The funniest experience of this trip to Bulgaria was when me and Lukas took the tile from the roof as a souvenir. We have one piece of the tile from Bulgaria as memory. My experience with Erasmus+ to Bulgaria was really fantastic! I miss all of the people in our whole group and I want to go back! 11
