The Editor
Welcome to the June issue of Today's Roofer
Magazine. Our goal is to give you a publication that is
easy to read, and both interesting and informative.
I'm writing this a couple of days before the Memorial
Day Weekend. When my daughters were young it
was always an important family weekend. They were
fresh out of school and excited to start the Summer.
We wouldn't go on a long vacation, just far enough
out of town to say we'd been "on a trip." Living in
Colorado there were a lot of overnight options!
Now the girls are grown and living their lives, one has
her own family. But I still love this weekend. Grilling
with friends, maybe a movie…it's a good way to kick
off the summer.
Of course in our business many of us have been hard
at work for the last couple of months. As soon as it
was warm enough to put shingles down we got busy. In this issue we want to give you
some ways to strengthen and grow that business.
Our contractor profile for the month will introduce you to Lenn Chandler. Lenn started
his first roofing company while still in college, and has built a couple more in the years
since. Interestingly, he has also had a "side career" in information technology, and today
is balancing both.
