 Palace Het Loo is a palace built in the 17th century. The architect is Jacobus Roman.  The building has a classicistic style. It is surrounded by beautiful 17th century Barokstyled garden with French influence. It has characteristics of the gardens of palace Le Versaille in France.  It is located on the edge of Apeldoorn.  Total squared meter is 36 042.  In the very beginning, the palace was only a squared building. Later, wings on the sides were built. In 20th century a massive restauration took place, making Het Loo palace what it is today.  It started as a summer residence for stadholders and the royal family of the Netherlands during 1686 until 1975. Its last resident was princess Margriet. 3
