Lismore + Nimbin Top Attractions
1. Lismore Visitor Information Centre
A great place to start your trip to the region, the
centre features an indoor rainforest, an Aboriginal Art
Gallery and a large retail section specialising in local
arts, crafts and produce. Open daily 9.30 to 4pm
2. Nimbin shops and markets
Nimbin is a unique retail shopping experience, with a
colourful bohemian main street, Community Market
and weekly Farmers Market (Wednesdays).

The rocks themselves are regarded
as the home of the “Nyimbunji” spirit
man who has special powers.
The town of Nimbin is always
fascinating with a constantly changing

Nimbin is a great starting point to
explore some of NSW’s most spectacular
tropical rainforest World Heritage areas.

3. Lismore shopping and markets
Walking Lismore’s wide country streets is a constantly
changing, colourful and interesting experience. Do
“The Block” and discover the shops and arcades, like
the charming and historic Star Court Theatre Arcade.
Lismore also offers a weekly Farmers Market with great
organic local produce and a popular monthly undercover
Car Boot Market (1st and 3rd Sunday monthly).

These include the Border Ranges
National Park and the Nightcap Ranges
Park. It was here where where some of
the first protests were held in the 1970s
to successfully put a stop to the clearing
of these majestic tracts of bushland.
There are any number of walks to explore
depending on your time and ability.
Lismore is also a relaxed and affordable
base from which to explore the NSW North
Coast and its popular beaches. Busy
Byron Bay and the more relaxed Evans
Head are an easy 40km drive away.

4. Lismore Regional Gallery
A small and vibrant space often showcasing some
of the best works from the regions’ many local
artists. A great restaurant The Palate is next door.
